Jarkko Ruutu knows that the Senators are likely to trade him by the Feb. 28 trade deadline.
There haven't been any contract discussions between Murray and Ruutu's agent, Don Baizley. He has a $1.3 million expiring contract.
"I'm an Ottawa Senator. I want to be an Ottawa Senator, but there's things that I can't control," said Ruutu, "it's out of my control and I'm going to have to live with it.
"I dont think anything else. I play hard. I understand they can trade anybody if you look at the big picture. It's not that it bothers me or I think of it, but it's realistic.
"Anybody can see when guys aren't playing well enough or to their capabilities, there will be changes. Bryan came out and said that."

Senators Getting Calls About Phillips
The Senators are getting a lot of calls about veteran defenseman Chris Phillips, who could be traded by the deadline.
Phillips, 32, is in the final year of his current contract and can become an unrestricted free agent this July.
"It's not easy," Phillips told the Ottawa Sun. "I realize that it's part of the game. I'm sure tomorrow I'll probably be answering the same questions. But when the questions are done, and you step on the ice, you forget about all that stuff. We'll see how everything plays out, but yeah, it's difficult, with the number of games I have played with this uniform on, and only this one."
Phillips has a no-trade clause.
Burke: Beauchemin-Setoguchi Rumors Are False
Rumors that the Maple Leafs and Sharks have discussed a trade involving Francois Beauchemin and Devin Setoguchi are false, according to TSN's Darren Dreger.
"Chasing rumours is time wasting, however the Beauchemin for Setoguchi trade rumour is complete fabrication says Burke," Dreger wrote on his Twitter page.
